DudooStory, a children’s book brand, has released an updated edition of its flagship title, the ‘Masterpiece Classic Big Plus Sound Book.’ The previous relaunch sold out in about six months, so this refresh is already getting attention.
The company focused on boosting both content and quality rather than issuing a straight reprint. This edition revises the selection of artworks and improves print quality to offer a noticeably upgraded product.
A standout addition is Hojakdo, a Joseon-era folk painting now included for the first time. Recently the motif has been used across global media, raising public interest in the piece.
DudooStory added Hojakdo to its National Museum of Korea soundbook lineup to give children a more natural entry point to traditional Korean art. It’s a choice that aims to balance educational value with playful appeal.
The physical finish was refined as well: colors are richer and textures more detailed, helping convey the mood of the masterpieces with greater fidelity.
The series is divided into four volumes: National Museum of Korea, the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, and the National Gallery. Each volume includes a “Whispered Painting Stories” section that explains the artwork’s background and highlights viewing tips, making the books approachable even for caregivers who aren’t familiar with art.
‘Masterpiece Classic’ is a large-format soundbook designed to be used from tummy time through the period after a child’s first birthday. Its mix of visual and auditory stimulation reflects a key trend in the infant-content market.
In early childhood education, products that emphasize experiential learning are spreading faster than those focused only on reading. Soundbooks, in particular, are evolving beyond basic audio playback to combine art, music, and storytelling.
That said, consumers weigh price against how long a product remains useful, so industry observers say ongoing content updates and clear differentiation will be important for sustained success.
With the slogan “a book that plays, a toy that teaches,” DudooStory has built a lineup that blends education and play. Offerings include ‘Dudoo Shadow Theater,’ ‘Dudoo Angpang,’ ‘Baby Sez,’ and ‘Photo Sound 500.’
Among these, ‘Dudoo Shadow Theater’ has surpassed 190,000 units sold, strengthening the brand’s market presence. The revised ‘Masterpiece Classic’ looks like a strategic move to further leverage those existing brand assets and boost product competitiveness.
