Lee Man-gi stopped by a popular French spot in Uijeongbu.

On the 11th, KBS 1TV’s ‘Dongne Hanbaki’ followed Lee Man-gi as he tried his hand at French cooking.
He visited a French restaurant in Uijeongbu run by owner Hong Han-seok and his France-born wife, Mariam. The beloved French-style bakery café is in Ganeung-dong, Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province—about 800 meters from Heungseon Station.
The place is best known for its baguettes and escargot. Escargot is a classic French dish of edible snails sautéed in butter and seasoned. Lee praised the baguette’s crust as crisp while the inside remained luxuriously moist. Trying escargot for the first time, he said, “It’s springy—almost like a sea snail’s texture.”
