[RealFood=Reporter Yook Seong-yeon] Kellogg announced on April 2 that it has launched Low-Sugar Granola, a crunch-forward option fortified with whole grains and extra dietary fiber.
Kellogg says it cut sugars by about 80% compared with the top three products in the category, bringing sugar down to roughly 1.5 g (0.05 oz) per bowl. Instead of refined sugar, the recipe relies on oligosaccharides, honey and stevia for a gentle, natural sweetness.
The granola also delivers the fiber equivalent of about 1.8 bananas, thanks to a whole-grain base. The blend features seven whole grains, including the ancient grain farro, plus whole oats, whole wheat, whole rye and black barley.
To celebrate the launch, Kellogg is running promotions on Naver Shopping Live and through its brand store, offering a range of perks for buyers.
Kang Seon-young, a marketing manager at Kellogg, said, “Today’s consumers don’t just want less sugar — they want to know what’s filling the product. We designed this new granola around whole grains and dietary fiber so it feels light while delivering both great taste and solid nutrition.”
