Imsil County is rolling out its signature spring celebration around the Okjeongho suspension bridge and Bungeo Island to match the cherry blossom bloom.
The ‘2026 Imsil Okjeongho Cherry Blossom Festival’ runs April 11–12 and this year leans into food and hands-on experiences to give visitors more to do and taste.
There will be 13 food booths, including food trucks, with a focus on local specialties. Expect snacks like cheese bungeo-ppang (carp-shaped pastry) and cheese hot dogs made with Imsil N Cheese.
The adjacent ‘Okjeongho Korean Beef Street’ will also be open during the festival, offering grilled hanwoo (premium Korean beef), galbitang (short-rib soup), bulnak jeongol (spicy octopus-and-beef hot pot), yukhoe bibimbap (raw-beef bibimbap), and other dishes.
Interactive programming has expanded too, with retro costume rentals, photo zones, and a flea market that invite participation. Pet owners can join agility activities and special events; for safety, some areas will require pets to be kept in carriers.
Imsil County hopes that combining standout food offerings with engaging activities will encourage visitors to linger and enjoy a longer stay.
