Walkerhill Hotel & Resort said on the 30th that its Airport Business Team won the “Commercial Facility of the Year” award in the food and beverage (F&B) category at the 10th Incheon Airport Awards, hosted by Incheon International Airport Corporation.
Launched in 2017, the annual Incheon Airport Awards recognize outstanding partners and staff who contribute to improving airport operations and services. Organizers evaluate a range of indicators—including the previous year’s operational results, service quality, safety management, and enhancements to customer experience—and select 20 top operators across seven categories. This year’s ceremony, held as the airport marked its 25th anniversary, drew a large crowd of industry professionals.
After winning the passenger convenience prize in the commercial facilities category in 2023, Walkerhill was named an outstanding F&B commercial facility last year, reaffirming its service competitiveness at Incheon International Airport. Judges reportedly praised the company’s strong financial performance and notable improvements in customer service quality.
Walkerhill has been involved with Incheon International Airport since it opened in 2001, working to make travel more convenient and enjoyable. The company runs a variety of dining and rest spaces—including Korean restaurants Jayeon and Sammok, a transit hotel, the capsule hotel Darakhyu, and the Martina Lounge—to strengthen its appeal. It has kept pace with changing traveler trends through ongoing facility renewals and service upgrades, such as the 2018 opening of the Martina Gold premium lounge in Terminal 2 and the 2024 launch of the Korean restaurant Jayeon.
Jung Taek-jin, head of Walkerhill Hotel & Resort’s External Business Division, said, “Our entire team has worked hard to improve customer convenience, and this recognition—following our 2023 success—means a lot. We’ll continue to stand out through differentiated operations and relentless service innovation so we remain a beloved choice for travelers.”
