[Sports Seoul | Reporter Sunwoo Cho] Lotteria just claimed the No. 1 spot in the service-sector fast-food category of the 2026 Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI) — and it’s the 28th year in a row.
Run by the Korea Management Association, the K-BPI evaluates factors like brand awareness and customer loyalty that shape consumers’ purchase decisions and crowns a top brand in each category every year.
Last year, Lotteria sharpened its brand appeal by teaming up with a celebrity chef to launch the Mozzarella Burger. It also rolled out standout items like the visually striking Crab Alive Burger and Squid Alive Burger to keep menus fresh and media buzz alive.
The chain expanded its “Ria Lunch” promotion to target bargain-savvy customers during a period of high prices. This year’s Whole-Thigh Crispy Chicken Burger continued the momentum — it sold 1 million units within two weeks of launch.
A LotteGRS spokesperson said, “Being recognized by customers for our brand’s excellence for 28 years through the K-BPI is incredibly meaningful. We’ll keep leading burger trends and delivering enjoyable brand experiences to consumers.” blessoo@sportsseoul.com
