80-Hour Battery Life? Marshall Debuts New Milton ANC Headphones

Daniel Kim Views

Translation resultGlobal audio icon Marshall has dropped its new on-ear headphones, the Milton ANC, in Korea. It’s Marshall’s first on-ear model with adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC). Compact and ultra-portable, it analyzes ambient sound in real time so you can lose yourself in the music.

The Milton ANC rocks Marshall’s iconic vibe in a compact frame—matte black, leather finishes, and that brass logo for a timeless, chic look. It’s foldable for easy carrying, and memory-foam ear cushions keep things comfortable.

Weighing just 202 g (about 7.1 oz), it’s ridiculously portable. Because it rests lightly on the ears rather than fully enclosing them, it’s perfectly suited for summer—less heat, less pressure, more comfort.

The left ear cup houses an ‘M’ button you can program in the app. Tap it to toggle ANC, switch to Transparency mode, enable spatial audio, or summon your voice assistant—handy shortcuts for daily life.

The right cup uses a single multi-directional control—click and nudge it four ways to skip tracks and adjust volume. Small scale, big usability. Hold the right button to power on and you’ll hear a stylish electric-guitar chime straight out of a Marshall amp.

Punchy, satisfying mids and lows

The leather ear pads create a snug seal, so even as on-ear headphones they do a great job of damping outside noise. With ANC off, the world still feels pleasantly muted. ANC itself is reliable—automatically adjusting cancellation strength while also allowing manual tweaks in the app. When you need to hear your surroundings, flip to Transparency mode.

Sonic character leans into rich mids and thumping lows—you might be surprised how much punch those compact drivers deliver. Deep bass makes tracks more fun and immersive. The Milton ANC supports SBC and AAC plus higher-res codecs like LC3 and LDAC, so wireless listening can still feel premium.

It also includes advanced features like Adaptive Loudness, which boosts bass and midrange as ambient noise rises to keep the sound balanced. Marshall tuned the headphones to preserve vivid bass and treble even at low volumes, so the brand’s signature sound holds up across different environments.

The Milton ANC pairs with Marshall’s dedicated app, which offers nearly pro-level settings—from detailed battery charging options to precise auto-off timing. Note: the app does not support Korean.

Battery that just won’t quit—up to 80 hours

The Milton ANC’s battery is a standout: up to 50 hours with ANC on and up to 80 hours with ANC off. In plain terms, you can forget the charger during long commutes or multi-day trips. The included USB-C to 3.5mm cable also lets you switch to wired listening when needed.

Marshall leaned into sustainability too: 41% of the product’s weight uses recycled materials, and for the first time the battery is user-replaceable. Replacement parts like batteries, ear cushions, and cables are available on Marshall’s website.

Distinctive Marshall design and sound

After spending time with the Marshall Milton ANC, I’m impressed. If you’re looking for a fresh, summer-ready headphone, this one fits the bill: lightweight comfort, effective ANC, and impressive battery life. It’s a great pick for travel—taming plane and public-transit noise while delivering Marshall’s crisp, punchy bass. The launch price is 299,000 KRW (approximately $224.25).
