Longer summers, lighter wardrobes.
Uniqlo has blended comfort and style in its bra-top lineup this season. The new 2026 SS collection doubles down on design details that let these pieces stand on their own — a nod to shifting lifestyles and current fashion trends.
Each season, Uniqlo’s bra tops evolve. What began as basic underwear is now crossing into everyday fashion. Recently, the brand has amped up comfort by using seamless construction and reducing pressure in key areas.
This season, bra tops are treated as intentional styling pieces. Rather than hiding under clothes, they’re designed to complete a look by themselves. Uniqlo keeps comfort and function front and center while refining silhouettes and details to expand how and where you can wear them.
Standout: the racerback bra top. With slim shoulder lines and a clean, open back, it mixes sporty, active energy with everyday ease. It’s light enough to wear solo and layers smoothly under a shirt or thin jacket without bulk.
The V-neck bra top leans into a softer, more feminine vibe. Its deeper neckline flatters the collarbone and makes the piece feel like a top, not just underwear. It pairs effortlessly with casual denim and can also be dressed up under a jacket.
The square-neck bra camisole is all about a clean, fuss-free fit. Its modest neckline makes it an easy, go-to daily item that plays nicely with almost anything in your closet. It minimizes the “innerwear” look while boosting styling versatility.

At the store, customer Huh Ye-rin, 28, told us, “I usually avoid tight clothes, so in summer I often go for adhesive bras. But on sweaty days I worry the adhesive will fail, and wearing them a long time can irritate my skin.”
She added, “What I like about bra tops is that you can wear just one piece without those worries. Uniqlo’s designs often cover side breast tissue and the upper chest naturally, and styles like halter or V-neck are pretty enough to wear alone in summer.”
Uniqlo also enhanced functional design to improve fit, since more people are wearing these pieces solo. The brand focused on comfort and a stable, reliable fit.
The bra structure balances support with silhouette. The cups gently guide the bust toward the center to prevent side spillage and provide stable lift from below, creating a natural shape. The cup lines are designed to stay discreet under clothes, delivering a clean, dimensional neckline.
Power net gives stable support without excessive pressure. For the Airism bra camisole and bra tank top, Uniqlo added power net at the back to strengthen support around the chest. The underband features a 360-degree support structure. With soft stretch, it reduces tightness and pressure while keeping cups in place during movement, so wearers get a secure, comfortable fit.
A Uniqlo spokesperson said, “Summers have always been hot, but rising humidity has made layering feel heavy for many consumers. That’s boosted demand for single-piece items like bra tops. Where styling once felt limited, a wider range of necklines and designs — halter, V-neck, racerback — now lets people wear them confidently on their own.”
