How to Choose the Best Summer Clothing: A Guide to 2026’s Must-Have Cooling Technologies

The Korea Meteorological Administration says there’s about a 70% chance temperatures will stay above normal through early May. With summer heat arriving earlier than usual and brands speeding up their seasonal launches, this year’s cooling market is being driven by “multi-cooling” pieces that blend chill performance with hygiene and convenience.
As summers stretch longer, garments that deliver strong cooling along with antibacterial finishes and easy-care features are becoming the season’s biggest selling points.

School uniform brand Schoollux has launched the Air Dry Polo, created for Gen Z’s active days and summer hygiene needs. It’s the first school uniform item to use Sorona, an eco-friendly fabric made from corn-derived ingredients.
The polo is engineered to keep students feeling lighter and cooler during peak summer. With excellent moisture-wicking and breathability, it helps maintain comfort even during long study sessions. Its fast-dry performance means garments bounce back to fresh quickly after frequent washes, a practical benefit that resonates with both students and parents.
The functional lineup packs in hygiene-forward details developed in-house. A WingWing pad sewn into the inner armpit quickly absorbs sweat and odor—two top summer worries for teens—preventing fabric discoloration and keeping clothes fresh. The School Check Band added to collar and sleeve areas helps disguise stains while adding a subtle design touch.

Underwear brand GamTan introduced the Viscose Cool Bra, which amplifies cooling performance by leveraging viscose’s natural cool-to-the-touch feel for an almost weightless sensation.
GamTan upgraded its staged mesh jelly-fusing technology to boost durability, and the bra uses seamless construction with no sewn seams to deliver pressure-free comfort even on the hottest days.

Sports and outdoor brand Dynafit’s Thin Ice series uses a high-density, lightweight nylon weave that quickly releases body heat to provide reliable cooling.
The line also incorporates LG protec, an antibacterial treatment proven in LG Electronics’ premium appliances, embedding advanced glass-based antimicrobial technology into the cooling fabric. That blocks microbial growth, effectively curbing the causes of sweat-related odors.

Active kids sweat more and experience bigger temperature swings, so summer clothing for children requires extra thought. BlackYak Kids rolled out two functional summer pieces designed to protect youngsters from UV rays and heat.
Styled to work outdoors and around town, both items use lightweight nylon-stretch materials to enhance breathability and keep kids feeling cool even in hot weather.
The Airlock Move Windbreaker Jacket packs BlackYak’s premium outdoor tech into a light windbreaker with UV protection to shield kids from the summer sun. It’s been made lighter and stretchier, reinforced with ripstop for durability, and fitted with Velcro cuffs to improve wind resistance—so kids can stay active no matter how the weather shifts.

A small logo on the chest adds a subtle design point, while a hem drawstring and attached hood create a trendy, adjustable fit. The jacket comes in four versatile colors—black and white—as well as light blue and violet that pop in summer outfits.
The Aero Fresh Lightweight Short-Sleeve Tee uses an air-hole nylon-spandex fabric for a cooling short-sleeve that feels ultra-light. Visible micro air-holes combined with an ultra-light shell deliver breezy comfort. Its clean, minimalist look and a hem drawstring for silhouette control make it easy to pair with any outfit; it’s available in black, light gray, and light beige.

Topten Kids also launched a proactive new Cool Air Cotton line that balances function and style.
Cool Air Cotton keeps cotton’s natural look while using a double-layer cooling structure on the side that touches the skin for instant coolness. Its quick-dry construction wicks sweat fast so active kids stay comfortable, and a wide range of colors and graphic designs lets children pick what suits them.

The new line includes 18 items that pair functional fabrics with fresh graphic designs. Using popular motifs like lettering and characters, the collection creates standout pieces and expands style options with layered short-sleeves, three-quarter sleeves, and coordinated sets.
Key pieces include Cool Air Cotton graphic tees, layered tees, a Peanuts collaboration short-sleeve tee, shorts sets, and girls’ skirt sets.
