The Korea Fashion Association said on March 27 that it successfully wrapped up a webinar titled Southeast Asian Market: Strategies for K-Fashion Expansion, co-hosted with Shopee Korea, Southeast Asia’s largest e-commerce platform.
Held the day before, the webinar was designed to help Korean fashion brands respond to the rising demand for K-fashion across Southeast Asia—boosted by the spread of K-culture. It aimed to share practical market-entry strategies and identify real business opportunities.
Speakers provided an in-depth analysis of e-commerce trends and consumer behavior across the region, and shared concrete examples of fashion-category listings and operational strategies. They also laid out hands-on market-entry know-how, including how to integrate logistics, payments, and marketing using the Shopee platform.
After consultations with Shopee Korea, the association put together tangible early-entry support for webinar participants launching on the platform: AI-based automated video-production services; a KOL (key opinion leader) marketing package for selected companies; and priority access to onboarding and strategic-seller programs.
Seong Rae-eun, chairman of the Korea Fashion Association, said the webinar reaffirmed K-fashion’s potential and marketability in Southeast Asia. He added that the association will continue partnering with global platforms to actively support Korean fashion companies as they establish stable footholds in overseas markets.
