[TheGuroo/Reporter Jin Yoo-jin] Kolon FnC’s premium golf label G/FORE has rolled out an upgraded version of its flagship shoe, the G.112, in Japan. With simultaneous improvements to design and performance, the brand is aiming to capture growing demand for premium golf gear and strengthen its presence in the market.
On the 26th, Kolon FnC Japan said the renewed G.112 is now available across its nationwide directly operated stores and official online shop. Offered in both men’s and women’s fits, the shoe is priced at ¥52,800 (about $354). Certain colorways will be sold exclusively online to create channel differentiation.
The update keeps G/FORE’s signature silhouette but overhauls the outsole and fit structure to boost on-course performance. A dual-traction outsole enhances grip and stability on grass, while a performance compound—commonly used in basketball footwear—adds durability and improved traction.
A low-profile, low-drop design lowers the center of gravity and increases ground contact for a steadier swing. G/FORE’s proprietary insole technology, ORE/18, is engineered to reduce fatigue during long rounds, enhancing overall comfort and function.
On the style front, the spikeless construction creates a sleeker, more polished look. The company positions the G.112 as a lifestyle golf shoe you can wear both on the course and off, reflecting Japan’s trend of valuing both fashion and function in golf apparel.
Kolon FnC frames the launch as a strategic move to expand G/FORE’s footprint in Japan—a market with a stable golf population and strong spending on premium equipment and apparel. As golfwear becomes more integrated into everyday wardrobes, demand for products that blend performance with design is accelerating.
Aligning with that shift, Kolon FnC plans to strengthen G/FORE’s portfolio by combining performance and lifestyle offerings. The company will pursue coordinated online and offline channel strategies to continue growing its premium golfwear competitiveness across Japan and other Asian markets.
