In a surprising turn of events, Samsung C&T’s fashion division has defied industry trends by posting impressive gains in both revenue and operating profit for the fourth quarter of last year.

The numbers are in, and they’re looking good! Samsung C&T’s fashion arm revealed on the 28th that their Q4 sales hit a cool 560 billion KRW (420 million USD), up 3.5% from last year. Even better? Operating profit climbed to 45 billion KRW (33.75 million USD), showing a 4.7% increase.
Looking at the big picture, annual sales reached a whopping 2.2 trillion KRW (1.65 billion USD), inching up 0.8% from the previous year’s 2.05 trillion KRW (1.54 billion USD). While operating profit took a hit, dropping to 123 billion KRW (92.25 million USD) – a 27.6% decrease – the division still managed to keep its impressive streak alive, surpassing the 2 trillion KRW (1.5 billion USD) mark in annual sales for the fourth year running.
So, what’s behind the dip in profits? Samsung C&T’s fashion gurus point to increased marketing spend, citing the economic slowdown in the first half of the year as the culprit.

According to their IR report, it’s not all doom and gloom. The company’s imported brands have been holding steady, and those seasonal promos? Total win for boosting performance.
Looking ahead, Samsung C&T’s fashion division is all about that growth mindset. They’re doubling down on their star brands, nurturing fresh faces in the industry, and embracing the digital revolution. As for Eight Seconds, they’re fine-tuning their planning and production game to nail those on-trend pieces while setting their sights on global domination.
Fashion enthusiasts, mark your calendars for March! Samsung C&T is making power moves by snagging the domestic rights to five fabulous brands from France’s SMCP Group, including the oh-so-chic Sandro and Maje. It’s all part of their master plan to balance that brand portfolio and step up their distribution game.
A Samsung C&T fashion insider spilled the tea: “We’re on a mission for sustainable growth. We’re pumping up our own brands, bringing in hot international labels to diversify our portfolio, and taking our online and global presence to the next level.” Sounds like Samsung C&T is ready to slay the fashion game!
