Fashion Group Hyungji is gearing up for its “second golden age” as a leading senior fashion brand, unveiling its key marketing strategies for the year on February 10. The focus? Expanding multi-brand stores and beefing up their product game.
Hyungji’s betting big on their multi-store concept, which made its debut last year. They’re hitting the gas on store expansion while simultaneously upping the ante on value and product competitiveness. The goal? To snag a lion’s share of the market.
Case in point: The Crocodile Lady·Castelbajac Daejeon store, Hyungji’s first multi-brand venture, opened last October and is already showing promise. By bringing together the loyal clientele of the classic women’s brand Crocodile Lady and Castelbajac’s sporty offerings, they’ve widened their appeal to both men and women. This power combo has the Daejeon location eyeing annual sales of 1 billion KRW (750,000 USD), positioning it as a potential “mega store.”
Riding this wave of success, Fashion Group Hyungji is taking their multi-store model to the next level. They’re not just sticking to clothing brands anymore – they’re throwing accessories brands like Hyungji Esquire into the mix. The plan? To open about 20 large multi-brand stores in prime locations nationwide, turning them into regional powerhouses to turbocharge growth.
On the product front, Hyungji’s getting creative with climate change in mind. As seasons blur, they’re doubling down on “three-season basic items” to keep sales humming during traditionally slow periods. They’re also expanding their range with scent-infused fabrics and eco-friendly materials to keep up with evolving customer demands.
A Hyungji spokesperson dished, “We’ve been laser-focused on our senior customers with serious spending power. That’s why we launched the ‘New Senior Research Institute’ last year – to nail product planning and services for this demographic. We’re doubling down on our multi-brand stores and competitive pricing to cement our status as the go-to name in senior fashion. It’s all about kicking off our next big chapter.”
