[TV Daily reporter Han Seoyul] U.S. hip-hop artist Offset was wounded in a shooting.
On the 6th (local time), multiple outlets including People reported that Offset was shot in a casino parking lot in Hollywood, Florida. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. Offset previously performed as a member of the hip-hop group Migos alongside Takeoff and Quavo. The attack revived painful memories of Takeoff’s fatal shooting and left fans shaken. Local police said 1 person was injured and transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. Two suspects have been detained and are being questioned, and authorities do not believe there is any further threat to the public. Offset’s representatives said he is receiving treatment at the hospital for gunshot wounds. Medical staff are monitoring his recovery, and his condition is stable. After Takeoff’s death in 2022, Offset and Quavo briefly formed a duo before returning to solo work in 2023.
