[MyDaily — Seung-gil Lee] A new festival built around the K-pop group Stray Kids is set to debut in Latin America.
On the afternoon of the 22nd, U.S. promoter Live Nation and JYP Entertainment announced on their official social channels the launch of a new music festival, STRAYCITY, with Stray Kids as the headliner. STRAYCITY — with Stray Kids headlining every date — will open Sept. 9 (local time) in Bogotá, Colombia; continue Sept. 14 in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and close Sept. 25 in Mexico City.
Supporting the group will be JYP’s junior boy band NEXZ, along with notable regional acts such as Andrés Obregón, RENEE, BAD MILK, Kei Linch, K4OS and Cocho. Lineups will vary by city, bringing prominent local musicians to each bill.
STRAYCITY is being billed as an inclusive music festival. Drawing its name from the group’s own moniker “Stray,” Stray Kids plan to unleash their signature energy and invite audiences into a distinctive musical world inside STRAYCITY.
