NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang drew attention after stopping at a popular noodle shop in downtown Beijing.
On the 20th (local time), the South China Morning Post reported that Huang visited “Fang Zunchang No. 69 Beijing Jajangmyeon,” in the Nanluoguxiang commercial district on the 15th. He was traveling with a delegation accompanying U.S. President Donald Trump.
Wearing a black leather jacket, Huang stood outside the restaurant and quickly ate a bowl of noodles. Bystanders recorded the scene and posted clips on social media, which drew widespread attention.
The dish he ordered was the restaurant’s signature “black pork stir‑fry sauce noodles,” a Beijing-style jajangmyeon served with pork sauce and vegetable toppings. It’s listed at 38 yuan (roughly 8,400 KRW, about $6.30).
With the dining area crowded, Huang and his aides ate standing outside. He struck up casual conversations with onlookers, asking whether they’d been there before and praising the food, repeatedly saying things like “delicious” and “this is really good.”
He also drank a yogurt priced at 7 yuan (roughly 1,500 KRW, about $1.13) and took some of his meal to go when he finished.
The video of Huang went viral, amassing some 200 million views. Riding the buzz, the restaurant introduced a new combo inspired by his visit, dubbed the “Leather Jacket War God Set.”
The shop has since been swamped with customers, with reports of waits of at least 30 minutes.
