[Herald Economy=Reporter Lee Myung-su] BTS staged three ARIRANG world tour concerts at Stanford Stadium in the U.S. on the 16th, 17th and 19th (local time). About 152,000 fans attended, underscoring that the group has maintained its earlier popularity.
According to Yonhap, BTS became only the second act to hold a concert at the stadium since it opened in 1921, following Coldplay.
On the final night, fans staged a surprise. During the performance of “Body to Body” from BTS’s fifth studio album, ARIRANG, the traditional folk melody “Arirang” played; fans waved pre-prepared Taegeukgi flags and sang along in unison, the agency said.
At the end of the show, the members said, “We’re experiencing the best moment of our lives. We were truly moved by the event you put together. We’ll remember every moment. We look forward to meeting you again, and we want to express our thanks.”
Meanwhile, on the 22nd (Korean time), BTS posted detailed information about the “BTS World Tour: ARIRANG” — Asia & Australia — on the global superfans platform Weverse. According to the notice, the group will kick off the leg in Kaohsiung this November and perform 23 shows across nine cities in Asia and Australia.
