BTS at Stanford Stadium, U.S.[Provided by BigHit Music][Provided by BigHit Music]
K-pop group BTS turned Stanford Stadium into a sea of Taegeukgi, South Korea’s national flag. The band performed three shows at Stanford Stadium on the 16th, 17th and 19th (local time), drawing roughly 152,000 fans. Opened in 1921, Stanford Stadium had hosted concerts by only one other artist—Coldplay—making BTS the second act to perform there. Tickets sold out immediately, and organizers added a fourth show in response to demand. At the final concert, fans staged a special moment: they raised Taegeukgi flags they had prepared in time with the Arirang melody that accompanied the performance of “Body to Body” from BTS’s fifth studio album. The members said they were deeply moved and that they would remember every moment. BTS, now on a North American tour, will head to Las Vegas next and is scheduled to attend the American Music Awards on the 25th. #BTS #WorldTour Yonhap News TV — For inquiries and tips: KakaoTalk/LINE jebo23; Lee Hwa-young (hwa@yna.co.kr)
