[Herald Economy=Reporter Jo Yong-jik] Global fandom platform b.stage announced on May 14 that it had officially launched Grounding, a dedicated golf platform.
According to b.stage, Grounding focuses on memberships and a POP subscription service. Members gain access to limited-edition content and in-person events. On POP, professionals and fans can move between chat and live streaming for more sustained one-on-one interaction.
To mark the launch, b.stage held a showcase in Seoul’s Gangnam district titled THE FIRST GROUNDING: Beyond the Rope, and ran online events as well. Members were invited to enter membership verification and POP subscription verification events, and winners were chosen by lottery to receive autographed golf balls.
Seo Woo-seok, CEO of Be My Friends, which operates b.stage, said, “Grounding is a next-level golf business model where pros and fans grow together.” He added, “Leveraging b.stage’s experience designing fandom businesses across the entertainment industry — including K-pop — we aim to create a new wave in golf fandom culture.”
