[JoyNews24 reporter Lee Mi-young] Big Bang has opened recruitment for its official fan club for the first time in 11 years.
On May 18, YG Entertainment posted a “BIGBANG OFFICIAL 6th V.I.P NOW OPEN” poster across the group’s social channels, formally announcing recruitment for the sixth official V.I.P fan club. This is the group’s first official fan-club enrollment since 2015 — roughly 11 years ago.
Sign-ups will be handled through Big Bang’s official community on the global fandom platform BiStage. Members will receive a variety of online and in-person benefits, including early access to world-tour tickets, entry to a members-only community with exclusive content, and priority opportunities to purchase official merchandise.
YG said it launched the official fan-club recruitment to deepen its connection with fans who have supported Big Bang for many years as the group marks its 20th anniversary, and asked fans to look forward to a 20th-anniversary project that artists and fans will build together as a milestone.
Big Bang, which debuted in 2006, marks its 20th anniversary this year. Reconfigured as a trio of G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung, the group announced its 20th-anniversary comeback during their April performance at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the U.S. At the time, G-Dragon said, “This year is Big Bang’s 20th anniversary. It’s just the beginning. Big things are coming. We’ll make the Big Bang 20th-anniversary coming-of-age celebration fun.”
Big Bang will launch a world tour in August.
