[JoyNews24 reporter Kim Yang-su] The series “Eun-jung and Sang-yeon” won the Drama Award in the broadcast category at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci.
On the afternoon of the 8th, the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci were held at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul. Hosts Shin Dong-yup, Suzy and Park Bo-gum returned for their eighth year together.

The series prevailed over strong contenders such as “Unknown Seoul,” “The Story of Manager Kim, a Big-Company Employee Who Owns a Home in Seoul,” “Pine: Country Bumpkins,” and “The Tyrant’s Chef” to take home the drama prize.
Director Jo Young-min thanked the cast and crew, singling out actors Kim Go-eun and Park Ji-hyun for their performances, and said, “We will continue working to produce more meaningful projects.”
Jang Se-jung, head of the video business division at Kakao Entertainment, said the project reminded her that making good dramas with good people is a worthwhile endeavor. She added that she was especially grateful to Kim Go-eun for choosing the understated story and thanked Netflix for believing in and investing in the production.
Meanwhile, to mark the 60th anniversary of Korean musical theater, the Baeksang Arts Awards introduced a musical category this year. With that addition, the ceremony now recognizes all major areas of popular culture arts: broadcast, film, theater and musicals.
