[EPN EnpiNow reporter Go Nari] Singer Young Tak forged memorable moments with fans during his second fan concert.
The May 2–3 shows at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul were billed as an evening with his official fan club, Young Tak & Blues. A sea of blue lightsticks created a striking visual across the arena.
Young Tak opened the set in a black jacket and jeans with Yu Jeong-seok’s “Jilpung Gado” (“Gale Road”), then stoked the crowd with “SuperSuper” and the tender “Jagiya” (“Honey”).
For the second set he changed into white pants and offered a range of covers, from Rain’s “Instead of Saying Goodbye” to James Ingram’s “Just Once,” underscoring his versatile vocal range.
The program included audience participation: games such as the ONE TEAM Challenge and the Composure Challenge brought fans onstage. When missions failed, the crowd laughed as he performed an “Angtal” (tantrum) challenge and short staged skits.
Guest appearances deepened the evening’s offerings. On May 2, veteran rocker Kim Jang-hoon performed classics including “Highway Romance.” On May 3, actor-singer Kim Min-jong joined Young Tak to perform The Blue’s “With You” and Young Tak’s breakout hit “Why Are You There?,” prompting rapturous applause.
In the back half he amped up the set with the raucous “Pom Michyeotda” and the punchy “Pulina.” For the encore he threaded through the audience to meet fans face-to-face before closing with “Brighten.”
At the show he announced plans to release his first full-length album before fall, raising fans’ expectations. “The time I spend with you is precious. We are one team forever,” Young Tak told the crowd.
Organizers gave every attendee a seat cushion and handed out photocards and postcards as fans departed — small, thoughtful touches that underscored Young Tak’s connection with his audience.
Meanwhile, Young Tak continues to appear on television, including tvN’s “Naked World History” and KBS2’s “Dogs Are Incredible.”
