
[CBC News] At the May 2026 Netizen Awards for Best Male Singer, Hwang Young-woong has once again taken an early lead, reaching the 10,000-vote mark before any other contender, as he did last month. As of 9:24 p.m. on May 5, Hwang has 10,702 votes, accounting for 41.6% of the total and placing him first in the category.
Trailing Hwang, Chun-gil has 2,401 votes (9.3%) in second place, while Son Tae-jin holds third with 2,302 votes (8.9%). Jang Min-ho is fourth with 2,122 votes (8.2%), and Jinwon sits fifth with 1,290 votes (5.0%).
Competition in the middle ranks remains tight. Enoch is sixth with 944 votes, and Park Ji-hyun and Song Min-jun are nipping at his heels with 908 and 881 votes, respectively. Jeong Dong-won and Seo Young-taek round out the top 10, keeping the race for the upper tier close.
Established vocalists such as Park Chang-geun, Youngtak, Kang Hyung-ho, Ahn Seong-hoon and Hong Isaac also appear on the list. Park Seo-jin, Lee Chan-won, Park Hyo-shin, Jannabi’s Choi Jung-hoon and Lim Young-woong continue to draw fan support within the standings. With voting still underway, shifts in the rankings remain possible, and fans are watching closely.
