On the 2nd, the couple exchanged vows in the outdoor space at the Raum Art Center (The Raum) in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul. The ceremony unfolded in an intimate, warm atmosphere among close friends and well-wishers.
Broadcaster Boom and comedian Moon Se-yoon co-hosted the first portion of the ceremony. Koyote members Kim Jong-min and Baekga offered congratulatory remarks and words of encouragement, and a surprise rendition of Sung Si-kyung’s “넌 감동이었어” (“You Moved Me”) brought Shinji to tears.
Close friend and singer Ailee performed her song “Heaven” as a congratulatory number, while Baek Ji-young sang Sung Si-kyung’s “두 사람” (“Two People”). Guests joined in celebrating the couple’s union with heartfelt applause.
In their wedding invitation, the couple wrote: “We want to grow the love we’ve built facing one another into a larger love that lets us walk forward together toward the same future. We would be grateful for your blessings so that, in the name of love, we may guard what we have built.”
Shinji and Moonwon’s relationship began on MBC Standard FM’s “싱글벙글쇼” (“Singglebungeul Show”). Moonwon appeared as a guest while Shinji was the DJ; their acquaintance eventually developed into a romance that led to marriage. During the wedding preparations, allegations about Moonwon surfaced, but the couple addressed them directly and the matter subsided. They later shared glimpses of their newlywed life on KBS 2TV’s “편스토랑” (“Pyeonstorang”), demonstrating their ongoing affection for one another.
Shinji debuted with Koyote in 1998 and has enjoyed enduring popularity with hits such as “Sunjung” (“Pure Love”), “Shilyeon” (“Heartbreak”), “Paran” (“Blue”) and “Uriui Kkum” (“Our Dream”). Moonwon made his debut in 2012 with the single “나랑 살자” (“Let’s Live Together”).
