[EPN Enpinow reporter Go Nari] BTS has sold out both performances of \”BTS World Tour: Arirang in Busan,\” scheduled for June 12 and 13 at Busan Asiad Main Stadium.
Both shows sold out during the FC membership presale held on the 29th via NOL Tickets. The run of sellouts began with the group’s opening show in Goyang and has continued through dates in Japan, North America and Europe.
The Busan concerts mark the group’s return to that stage after a 3-year, 8-month absence; their last performance there was an October 2022 concert held in support of South Korea’s 2030 World Expo bid. June 13 carries added significance: it coincides with the anniversary of BTS’s debut.
From June 5 to 21, Busan will host a large-scale project titled \”BTS The City Arirang.\” The initiative brings the band’s musical world into public spaces; it launched in Seoul in March and has since expanded to Las Vegas and Busan.
The tour’s momentum showed up on Japanese charts as well. On the Oricon Weekly Rising Chart dated May 4 (released May 30), BTS’s \”Crystal Snow\” rose to No. 1 while \”Mic Drop\” reached No. 8 — a streaming boost credited to the emotional response at the Tokyo Dome concerts.
BTS also performed for roughly 190,000 fans at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa during concerts on the 25th, 26th and 28th (local time). Clips of audiences singing \”Arirang\” during the \”Body to Body\” segment drew widespread online attention.
Next, BTS is scheduled to perform at El Paso’s Sun Bowl Stadium on May 2 and 3. Local officials honored the group with the Estimado Amigo award and designated the dates \”El Paso BTS Weekend\” in a warm welcome. Officials estimate the concerts will generate about 110.5 billion KRW (approximately $82.9 million) in economic impact.
