(The CEN News / Reporter Park Seo-young) KBS’s “Open Concert” will mark Yangsan City’s 30th anniversary with a special broadcast.

KBS will air the 1,571st episode of “Open Concert” — a Yangsan City 30th-anniversary special — on KBS1 at 5:40 p.m. on the 26th. Recorded at Yangsan’s Ungsang Sports Park, the program brings together artists who appeal across generations, including soprano Kang Hye-jung, crossover vocal group Riberante, New Wisdom Harmony, the Hyeoneum Children’s Choir, Cheon Rok-dam, Mighty Mouth, Minyoung (BBGIRLS), Ahop (AHOF), Jung Dong-ha, Jeon Yu-jin and Insooni.

One of Korea’s leading sopranos, Kang Hye-jung, opens the evening with Riberante and New Wisdom Harmony on “Song of Friendship (Stein Song).” Riberante follows with “Start” and “The Show Must Go On,” offering songs about dreams, hope and courage. The Hyeoneum Children’s Choir, known for turning children’s enthusiasm into luminous harmonies, joins Kang for “Shyness,” and Kang will also perform “Star” in her signature clear, beautiful tone.

Trot singer Cheon Rok-dam takes the stage with patriotic and sentimental pieces, including “From the East Sea to Mount Baekdu” and “A Life Like Driftwood.” The two-member hip-hop duo Mighty Mouth and Minyoung of BBGIRLS present colorful, high-energy numbers with “Lalala” and “DANCE CAM.” Boy group Ahop (AHOF) aims to charm the audience with “Pinocchio Hates Lies” and “Let’s Meet Again There (Rendezvous).”

Vocalist Jung Dong-ha offers a softer mood with “Thinking of You” and “Memories Linger More in Goodbyes Than in Meetings,” while trot singer Jeon Yu-jin fills the stage with “Gayo Gayo” and “Chohon.” Jung Dong-ha and Jeon Yu-jin will also join forces for a duet of “Hwanhee.”

The concert closes with a performance by Insooni. In addition to “Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter,” she is set to command the stage with “Ttaengbeol” and “Every Night at Night.”

To celebrate Yangsan City’s 30th anniversary, this edition of “Open Concert,” featuring a wide range of artists, promises striking visuals and the immediacy of live performance.
