[MyDaily = Reporter Park Seo-yeon] USPEER, a K-pop girl group, has made its debut on Hong Kong variety television.
On April 24, agency MW Entertainment said USPEER appeared on Hong Kong’s ViuTV reality series Hundred-Day Girl Group (百日女團) as representatives of rookie K-pop girl groups and has finished filming. The agency said the broadcast will reveal multiple sides of the group and candid conversations with the members, and asked fans to look forward to the episodes.
Hundred-Day Girl Group (百日女團) is a new ViuTV reality series that follows actress-broadcaster Shirley Sham Yen Yi and Asha Edee Tria Cuthbert as they take on a 100-day challenge to train and perform as singers.
For the program, Shirley and Asha visited USPEER’s agency to film segments and experience K-pop training firsthand. They learned choreography from USPEER, asked about training regimens and routines, and practiced essentials for music shows — from ending poses to viral challenge moves. USPEER shared practical tips with a playful seniority, and the session ended warmly, with each member showing her own distinctive charm.
ViuTV, operated by Hong Kong Television Entertainment Company Limited, is a free-to-air channel that produces a broad slate of original programming — reality and family variety shows, dramas, travel and informational series — alongside news and sports coverage.
USPEER released their debut single album ‘SPEED ZONE’ in June last year and climbed various charts, earning attention as a polished rookie. The agency said the group’s appearance on the Hong Kong program should raise their profile with local K-pop fans and build momentum ahead of an upcoming comeback. USPEER also topped the ‘Best Rookie (Female)’ ranking on global K-pop voting site KTOPSTAR for seven consecutive weeks, maintaining strong interest even during downtime.
The ViuTV reality series Hundred-Day Girl Group (百日女團) featuring USPEER will air on April 27 and 28 at 10:30 p.m. local time and will later be available on the ViuTV World YouTube channel.
