[EPN Enpinow reporter Go Nari] Singer Lee Do-jin spoke publicly after his elimination from MBN’s \”Mumyeongjeonseol\” (Legend of the Unknown).
On the 23rd, he posted on his personal social media: \”I believe this moment is not the end but the beginning,\” along with a photo showing tissues under his eyes and a tearful expression.
Lee told fans they need not be sad as he returns to everyday life. He added that every time he performed on \”Mumyeongjeonseol,\” the years he has lived and the choices he made helped shape who he is today.
He thanked everyone who supported him, vowed to keep moving forward and promised to come back stronger. He asked fans not to forget him and closed his message with, \”I love you.\”
Fans and viewers responded with supportive messages such as, \”I won’t forget you—I’ll keep supporting you,\” \”This is a fresh start,\” and \”Stay strong always.\”
Lee debuted in 2010 with LEDApple and gained wider recognition after appearing on TV Chosun’s \”Mr. Trot\” in 2020. Since then he has released songs including \”Will You Return to Me?,\” \”OK,\” \”Youth Is Right Now,\” and \”Love Sickness,\” and has continued performing steadily.
He recently drew renewed attention on MBN’s \”Mumyeongjeonseol,\” where he recounted overcoming vocal nodules and hearing loss to return to the stage. His rendition of Kim Yong-im’s \”Hweol Hweol Hweol\” advanced him to the main round.
But in the April 22 broadcast, Lee was eliminated. Contestants who secured spots in the semifinals included Lee Chang-min, Jung Yeon-ho, Kim Tae-woong, Jang Han-byul, Seong Ri, Kwak Hee-seong, Lee Ru-ne, Kwak Young-gwang and Han Ga-rak. The exits of frontrunners such as Lee Do-jin, Shin Seong and Choi Woo-jin were an unexpected upset.
