The 2026 Hanam Music Festival — Music in the Hanam — hosted by Hanam City, organized by the Hanam Cultural Foundation and sponsored by IBK Corporate Bank and KB Kookmin Bank, concluded this week.
Hanam City said on April 20 that the two-day festival, held April 17–18 at the Hanam Sports Complex, brought together local musicians and invited top national artists, creating one of the largest community music gatherings in the city’s history.
Under the slogan “Korea’s Number One Festival,” Music in the Hanam featured 30 community groups and 650 performers, ranging from toddlers to seniors. The event showcased Hanam’s distinctive cultural energy and reinforced the festival’s standing as a participatory, citizen-driven celebration of music.
During the second performance on April 18, the 6,500 field seats and the stands — a total capacity of 12,000 — were packed, and many attendees watched the live action on a large screen set up in the auxiliary stadium.
Mayor Lee Hyun-jae, attending the festival, described Hanam as a K-culture hub and highlighted the city’s ongoing investments in cultural infrastructure, including the K-Star World project.
A Hanam city official said, “With roughly 31,000 on-site attendees and more than 30,000 online views, this festival demonstrated Hanam’s value as a work-live-play city where culture and jobs come together.”
