[TV Daily reporter Choi Hana] Boy group NCT WISH demonstrated with their first solo concert tour that they can galvanize a global fandom. Beyond simply landing a date at the KSPO DOME, the group elevated their craft with tighter teamwork and more polished performances, positioning themselves as one of the leading acts among fifth-generation K-pop groups.
NCT WISH (Sion, Riku, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo, Sakuya) staged the third show of the encore for their first solo concert tour, NCT WISH 1st CONCERT TOUR ‘INTO THE WISH : Our WISH’ ENCORE IN SEOUL, on the afternoon of the 19th at Seoul Olympic Park KSPO DOME (formerly the Gymnastics Arena). The concert streamed live worldwide via Weverse Live and Beyond Live, and live viewings were shown in theaters across 85 regions. Above all, this performance served as the glittering finale to a tour that ran 30 shows across 18 regions since last year. Since their 2024 debut, NCT WISH’s appearance at the KSPO DOME underscored just how rapid and powerful their rise has been. The group opened with an intro followed by \”Steady,\” then delivered back-to-back performances of \”Baby Blue\” and the Korean version of \”Songbird,\” building the evening’s momentum. On the \”Baby Blue\” stage, 100 kinetic butterfly lights filled the elevated platform above the crowd, adding an emotional flourish. Jaehee’s solo piano moment led into \”Skate,\” \”On & On,\” and \”Reel-ationship.\”
After the opening segment, NCT WISH greeted the fans in the arena and addressed global viewers watching the live stream in several languages, including Chinese and Japanese. Reflecting on the final show of their first solo tour, Sion said, \”The past six months flew by. I still can’t believe it. When this concert ends, another one will start,\” and urged fans, \”Since it’s the last show today, really enjoy it.\” The group continued with the Korean version of \”Wishful Winter.\” They performed \”FAR AWAY\” and a version of \”Design\” that included an added outro dance break, then presented the stage that signaled NCT WISH’s official launch, prompting loud cheers from the crowd. The set traced the group’s early milestones — the first released track \”We Go!,\” the Korean version of \”Hands Up,\” and the Korean version of their debut single \”WISH\” — offering poignant reminders of the start of their ascent. During \”We Go!\” the members rode a moving platform through the second-floor seats, bringing them closer to the audience. After \”Melt Inside My Pocket,\” the group unveiled \”Sticky,\” a track from their first full-length album due on the 20th; its pre-released music video had already generated buzz. The song and its choreography showcased both the group’s bright and neo sensibilities, heightening the concert’s energy. Performances of \”Silly Dance\” and \”Hello Mellow\” followed, delivering moments that felt like gifts to fans.
The main setlist closed with a sequence of high-impact numbers that showcased NCT WISH’s command of the stage: \”NASA,\” \”CHOO CHOO,\” \”Videohood,\” and \”COLOR\” ran without pause, illustrating the group’s explosive energy and stage control as a perfect cap to the main show. After the main performance, the audience launched a mass sing-along to \”Steady.\” The venue’s harmonies lingered, and the LED-screen segment that followed displayed messages from fans that prompted both laughter and tears, creating a mix of touching and humorous moments. In response to the fans’ event, NCT WISH carried the momentum with the title track \”Ode to Love\” from their first full-length album. The song samples the Cranberries’ \”Ode to My Family,\” and its familiar humming section, paired with a signature choreography point that Sion helped create — a sensual lip-swipe — drew explosive cheers and intensified the atmosphere. Riding the emotion from \”Ode to Love,\” the group performed \”WICHU\” and then offered an encore that included \”Make You Shine,\” the OST for Pokémon: Tera-stal Debut, and the Korean version of \”P.O.V.\” Notably, during \”WICHU,\” the members boarded the paper boat from the VCR and sang while suspended in the air, creating a striking visual moment. Fans’ slogan displays and a card-section presentation also provided emotional highlights; one banner read, \”One wish born from the hearts we hold for each other, WISH,\” as fans showed wholehearted support for the group. NCT WISH closed the encore with \”Our Adventures.\” Framing their past memories and future journey as an adventure, the members sang their heartfelt gratitude to the fandom that has stood by them, bringing their first concert tour to an emotional close.
Since their February 2024 debut, NCT WISH has used this tour to demonstrate the dramatic growth they’ve achieved. After opening their first solo concert at Inspire Arena on Yeongjongdo, Incheon, the group ultimately closed the tour at the KSPO DOME — the dream venue for many idols — underscoring the expanded stature of the team. Touring the world together forged a bond among the six members that goes beyond a conventional group and turned them into a tight-knit family. That unity has driven their notable artistic growth at each step. With the momentum and deeper experience gained from this tour, fans are eager to see what bold new moves NCT WISH will make next. After completing their first solo concert tour, NCT WISH will continue their musical activities by releasing their first full-length album, \”Ode to Love,\” at 6 p.m. on the 20th.
