[EPN Enpinow reporter Go Nari] BTS ignited the Tokyo Dome, filling the venue with the melody of \”Arirang.\”
BTS staged \”BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN TOKYO\” at the Tokyo Dome on April 17 and 18, drawing 110,000 fans across both nights. The shows marked their first return to the Tokyo Dome in about seven years since 2019, and tickets sold out almost immediately after going on sale.
The night’s most powerful moment came during \”Body to Body\” from their new album \”Arirang.\” As the song began, fans who packed the stadium sang the \”Arirang\” melody in Korean in unison, creating a deeply moving atmosphere. The members listened closely and delivered a resonant performance on stage.
BTS performed global hits like \”Butter\” and \”Dynamite,\” and also offered special stages for their Japanese audience. In a \”random song\” segment, they surprised fans with impromptu renditions of locally beloved originals \”Crystal Snow\” and \”FOR YOU,\” leaving a lasting impression.
Throughout the concerts, the members engaged with fans in Japanese. Reading handwritten letters, they thanked the audience \”for waiting seven years\” and said, \”I thought of you as I walked the streets of Tokyo.\” They added that the unwavering cheers and smiles gave them great strength.
After wrapping the Tokyo Dome dates, BTS will take the tour to the United States. The world tour continues at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on April 25–26 and 28.
