[TV Daily reporter Hwang Seo-yeon] K-pop supergroup BTS topped SBS’s music program Inkigayo despite not appearing on the broadcast.
On the April 19 episode of Inkigayo, BTS’s ‘2.0,’ IVE’s ‘BANG BANG,’ and Harts to Harts’ ‘RUDE!’ were the contenders for first place. ‘2.0’ by BTS took the crown with 4,701 points, IVE’s ‘BANG BANG’ finished second with 4,361 points, and Harts to Harts’ ‘RUDE!’ placed third with 4,024 points. Earlier, BTS spent two straight weeks at No. 1 on Inkigayo with ‘SWIM,’ the lead single from their fifth studio album, ‘ARIRANG.’ Now an album track, ‘2.0,’ has joined that winning streak. ‘2.0’ reflects BTS at a new stage following change and growth, presenting the group in a fresh light. Built on hip-hop and trap foundations with off-kilter rhythms, the song’s refrain ‘You know how we do’ emphasizes the members’ relaxed, self-assured swagger. Meanwhile, that day’s Inkigayo lineup included Tomorrow X Together, IF I, SANTOS BRAVOS, Cheondo (1000°), B-Boys, Red Oparts, MODYSSEY, Ollin, Dayoung, KISS OF LIFE, Kickflip, Ampersand One, Risenne, cosmosy, Kibit Up, and Hatzwave.
