[Sports Today reporter Jeong Ye-won] On the episode of Channel A’s Groom School 2 that aired on the 9th, actor Lee Jung-jin said he has ample experience with international relationships.
The 1978-born, single actor went on a blind date with Pyo Shin-hye, who is originally from Canada. Pyo impressed the cast with fluent Korean.
Lee said he has dated people from Brazil and France, noting that relationships worked out even when his partners didn’t speak Korean.
Pyo described her work as varied — she teaches English and does voice-over work — and joked that she has a \”Korean palate,\” listing favorites such as ssanghwa tea, ginger tea, maesil (plum) tea, omija tea, black garlic extract, ginseng and red ginseng.
She asked Lee about his Chinese zodiac and mentioned she was born in 1991. She then said she can’t date men who drink heavily, adding that she used to enjoy soju — a remark that left Lee visibly flustered.
Lee also asked whether she had ever dated an East Asian; when she replied, \”Of course,\” his slightly curt reaction drew laughter.
The two later moved to a restaurant. While eating muk (acorn jelly), Pyo demonstrated textbook chopstick technique, earning compliments.
