[Sports Today reporter Lim Si-ryeong] Actor Kim Nam-gil has pushed back against rumors that his 5-hour fan meeting was cut short.
This week, his agency, Gilstory ENT, posted a video on its official social channels titled ‘Regarding the rumor that the 5 hours 12 minutes fan meeting ended early.’
In the clip, Kim laughed and asked, “Why did this become such a big deal? Wouldn’t it be better if it ended early?”
He smiled and explained that, even with an intermission, the event ran about 5 hours and 10—maybe 15—minutes, which is shorter than when they held it without a break. “That probably prompted the talk about an early ending,” he said.
Kim noted the fan meeting had originally been planned for 2 hours and 30 minutes, and quipped that some attendees seem more interested in timing the event than enjoying it. “I hope people come to have fun with us,” he said. “Whether it’s 1 hour, 2 hours, or an all-night event, if everyone feels pressured by the clock, we won’t be able to do this again.”
He closed by urging fans not to be bound by the clock and reassured them, “We’re not aiming for 6 hours.”
Meanwhile, on the 28th of last month, Kim Nam-gil held ‘G.I.L,’ a roughly 5-hour fan meeting at KBS Arena that drew widespread attention.
