[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Actress Kim Hye-soo served as emcee at Lee Hwa-gyeom’s wedding, a visible reminder of the enduring friendship among the cast of tvN’s drama Shuroop.
Earlier, former Hello Venus member and actor Lee Hwa-gyeom announced his marriage on the 13th via his social media account. He wrote, \”At the end of this month, I will promise a new beginning in my life. I’ve met someone who is at times a comforting friend and, on stormy days, a sturdy umbrella — someone I’m truly grateful for, and I plan to walk the rest of my life with that person. I deeply thank everyone who has consistently supported me, and I will work even harder to show sincere and better performances as an actor.\”
Lee Hwa-gyeom’s wedding was held at the Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, and Kim Hye-soo — who co-starred with him in the 2022 tvN drama Shuroop — acted as emcee. Actress Shin Su-jeong revealed the news in a post on her social media on the 31st.
Shin Su-jeong wrote, \”Our sweet, kind, angel-like Hwa-gyeom — may you walk only on paths of flowers. He looked so radiant and endearing, and seeing the groom cherish and love Hwa-gyeom moved me to tears. Thanks to the two beautiful people, we shared a happy, love-filled time. Maybe it felt even more special because senior Hye-su was the emcee. From Hwa-gyeom’s first entrance, Jun-myeon, Ja-yeon and Yoon-yeon — I was in tears. Hwa-gyeom, we love you and wish you so much happiness; your older sisters will always cheer for you,\” she added, expressing her affection.

The photos released show members of the Shuroop cast — including Park Jun-myeon, Ok Ja-yeon and Shin Su-jeong — gathered around Kim Hye-soo. Though the series ended four years ago, their steady friendship attracted attention.
Born in 1995, Lee Hwa-gyeom debuted in 2012 as a member of the group Hello Venus and began his acting career in 2013 with SBS’s Wonderful Mama. He has since appeared in dramas including Who Are You: School 2015, When the Devil Calls Your Name, Selection: The War of Women, Monthly Magazine Home, Wonder Woman, Shuroop, Miss Granny, and Salon de Holmes.
