[Sports Today Reporter Lim Si-ryeong] KBS2’s Immortal Songs is mounting a special titled “Immortal Songs — 2026 Entertainment King of Kings.”
The episode, which airs on the 28th, gathers multi‑talented entertainers who have officially released albums or singles for a competition befitting a King of Kings special.
Ten acts — ranging from comedians to actors and creators — will compete: Kim Shin‑young & Cheon Dan‑bi; LALAL; Moon Se‑yun; the Gag Concert “Chatflix” team; Park Jun‑hyung; Song Il‑guk & Oh Man‑seok (the musical The Hague team); Lee Chan‑seok; Lee Hwi‑jae; Jo Hye‑ryun; and Hong Seok‑cheon. Each promises a stage defined by strong individuality and performance chops.
With so many versatile entertainers packed into the green room, the energy was high from the opening. Lee Chan‑won was impressed as cast members introduced themselves with catchphrases and choreographed moves. Park Sung‑kwang of the Gag Concert “Chatflix” team fired a confident challenge, “We’ll stir things up.” Park Jun‑hyung upped the ante, saying, “I have a secret weapon today. I won’t go down easily.” Hong Seok‑cheon teased, “I’m opening my jewelry box today. Everyone, be on notice,” fanning the competitive flames. At one point, LALAL — a musical‑theater major — singled out musical performers Song Il‑guk and Oh Man‑seok as rivals, heating up the room. When Oh Man‑seok modestly replied, “You don’t have to target us,” LALAL snapped back, “Those are the people who win first place,” prompting laughter.
The lineup is matched by a varied song list. Kim Shin‑young & Cheon Dan‑bi will perform Seoul Family’s “Now”; LALAL will take on Shim Kyu‑seon’s “Arirang”; Moon Se‑yun will cover Kim Dong‑ryul’s “Replay”; the Gag Concert “Chatflix” team will perform Koyote’s “Our Dream”; and Park Jun‑hyung will sing Kim Sang‑bae’s “No, No.” Song Il‑guk & Oh Man‑seok (the musical The Hague team) will perform Cho Yong‑pil’s “Dream”; Lee Chan‑seok will sing Uyeon’s “By Chance”; Lee Hwi‑jae will cover Choi Ho‑seop’s “When Time Passes”; Jo Hye‑ryun will perform Im Hee‑sook’s “My One and Only Has Gone”; and Hong Seok‑cheon will take on Ailee’s “I’ll Show You.” Each act is expected to offer a distinct, memorable performance.
Immortal Songs — 2026 Entertainment King of Kings airs Part 1 on the 28th and returns for Part 2 on the 4th. The program airs every Saturday at 6:05 PM.
