[Sports Today reporter Lim Si-ryeong] Yoon Hye-jin, wife of actor Um Tae-woong, issued a firm denial after viewers raised questions about a video that appeared to show her daughter doing a part-time job.
On March 24, Yoon posted to her Instagram Story, stressing that her daughter did not actually have a paid job. She explained that the family is friendly with the owner of a small market near her school, and the girl only \”tried it out\” while waiting for her father.
Yoon emphasized that her daughter was not receiving money for the activity, describing it instead as the kind of playful experience many of us remember from childhood — dropping by the corner store when our parents weren’t around, chatting with the owner, greeting customers and even trying the register. \”There’s nothing romantic about it,\” she wrote, calling the moment genuine and innocent.
The previous day, on the 23rd, Yoon had shared a short video showing her middle school daughter in uniform ringing up purchases at a convenience store. In the post, Yoon said she hadn’t realized Um had a shortened school day and that her daughter, waiting for him, had been \”working\” at the store — a moment she found endearing.
After the clip sparked debate online, Yoon reiterated that her daughter had not been paid for the activity.
