[EPN] Yoon Jung-soo and Won Jin-seo celebrated their first birthday as a married couple in a touching way.
On February 8, Won Jin-seo took to her personal social media to share photos of Yoon Jung-soo basking in his mother-in-law’s affection, along with the message, “Happy birthday, my love!”
The images captured Yoon Jung-soo beaming at a table laden with an array of dishes at Won Jin-seo’s family home. The spread included traditional Korean favorites such as jeon (savory pancakes), acorn jelly, japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), and boiled squid.
Won Jin-seo made waves when she revealed a stunning gold necklace, expressing her gratitude to her mother for the extravagant gift and the lavish birthday feast prepared for her husband’s first celebration as a son-in-law.
Yoon Jung-soo, born on February 8, 1972, tied the knot with Won Jin-seo, 11 years his junior, in November last year. Won Jin-seo, born in 1983, previously worked as a sports reporter for MBC under the name ‘Won Ja-hyun’. She gained fame as the ‘Goddess of Guangzhou’ during the 2010 Asian Games. Her accomplishments also include placing second in the 2015 Muscle Mania Fitness World Championships, and she has been working as a Pilates instructor since 2017.
Won Jin-seo, who made her return to television last September on TV Chosun’s ‘Lovestruck in Joseon’, shared the serendipitous nature of their relationship. “I knew of Yoon Jung-soo from my broadcasting days, but we reconnected after a decade,” she revealed. On the eve of their wedding, she described meeting Yoon as “a miracle and a blessing” in her life.
“It still amazes me how someone like him came into my life,” Won Jin-seo mused. “I’m constantly filled with gratitude and love for Yoon Jung-soo.”
