Veteran comedian Park Na-rae, 41, is set to face police questioning as a defendant.
Law enforcement sources revealed on Wednesday that Park is scheduled to appear at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul at 2:30 PM on Friday. This marks the first time the popular entertainer will be interrogated by police as a defendant.
The investigation stems from a lawsuit filed by Park’s former managers at the Gangnam Police Station. They’ve accused the comedian of serious assault, defamation through false statements, and violations of the Information and Communications Network Act.
In a counter-move, Park’s legal team has filed their own complaint against the ex-managers at the Yongsan Police Station, alleging attempted extortion and embezzlement.
This legal drama unfolds as Park has temporarily stepped away from the spotlight. The hiatus comes in the wake of controversies surrounding alleged power abuse and claims that she received unauthorized medical treatments from an individual known as “Nurse Jusa.”
