16 Years of Secrecy: Kim Byung-hyun’s Wife Finally Speaks Out on Their Unique Relationship

Kim Byung-hyun finally unveiled his wife of 16 years to the public.

The February 10 episode of SBS’s hit reality show “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny” featured former MLB star turned entrepreneur Kim Byung-hyun and his wife Han Kyung-min, sparking widespread interest.

Kim appeared visibly uncomfortable when his wife made her entrance. He quipped, “You were planning to do the interview without me again, weren’t you? You even told me not to come this morning!” before swiftly changing the subject.

While Kim had regularly shared photos of their three children on social media, his wife had remained conspicuously absent. He defended this, saying, “I didn’t hide her. We just lead separate lives, you know? At the ballpark, I’m baseball player Kim Byung-hyun, and at home, I’m just a regular husband. I didn’t see the need to put our relationship in the spotlight.”

His wife, however, had a different take on the situation. Han Kyung-min candidly admitted, “I often wondered, ‘Is he embarrassed by me?’ It was really tough.” She also dropped a bombshell, revealing, “In 16 years, I’ve barely met any of his friends. He even objected to inviting people to our wedding, so we initially just registered our marriage. It wasn’t until after our first daughter, Min-ju, was born that I finally convinced him to have a proper ceremony after a year of pleading.” This revelation left many viewers stunned.
