Malbon, the Los Angeles–based lifestyle golf apparel brand operated by Highlight Brands Co., announced on April 4 that it will officially sponsor Im Sung-jae, who competes on the PGA Tour. This is Malbon’s first time signing a Korean male player whose primary stage is the PGA Tour, and the company said the partnership will bolster its identity as a brand that blends lifestyle and performance.
Im Sung-jae, ranked 41st in the world in 2025, is one of South Korea’s premier male golfers. Last year he posted three top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour, showing steady play and sound fundamentals. Off the course he enjoys music, live performances and other cultural pursuits, favoring a relaxed, stylish look—an approach that aligns with Malbon’s aim to make golf part of everyday life.
Malbon will supply Im with performance-driven apparel engineered for competition while showcasing the brand’s distinctive on-course aesthetic. The company plans a slate of content capturing Im both on and off the course to underscore its message: positioning golf as a cultural, everyday pursuit for fans and general consumers alike.
“Malbon’s clothing moves with me, so it’s comfortable both for my swing and for everyday wear,” Im said. “The designs that showcase what Malbon does best make me even more excited for the 2026 season. As the first Korean player Malbon has signed from the PGA Tour, I feel a real responsibility, and with Malbon I’ll aim to deliver the best performance I’ve yet to show.”
Malbon currently runs “Team Malbon,” which features global players such as Jason Day on the PGA Tour and Charley Hull on the LPGA Tour. Im’s addition strengthens the brand’s effort to connect generations and cultures through golf.
Lee Joon-kwon, CEO of Highlight Brands, said, “Im Sung-jae’s arrival reflects the direction Malbon has pursued: a natural partnership where a player’s competitive excellence meets a brand that has extended golf into lifestyle. We will continue to broaden touchpoints through diverse content so golf can more naturally weave into people’s daily lives.”
