S-OIL said on May 4 that, for Family Month in May, it held an internal event called \”Gudoil Delivers Your Heart,\” through which the company delivered employees’ thank-you letters to their parents along with carnation baskets.
Some 394 employees took part in the program, which the company designed to convey unspoken gratitude that busy daily life often leaves unsaid. S-OIL will provide health screenings and carnation baskets to the top 10 entries.
An S-OIL spokesperson said the company hopes the event will help employees feel more engaged and energized at work and give them an opportunity to express feelings they have not shared with their parents.
One employee who participated said she joined to thank her mother-in-law for caring for her daughter while she and her husband both work. She added that the company’s thoughtful event gave her a rare chance to express love to her parents, making the experience especially meaningful.
