[Sports Seoul | Reporter Bae Woo-geun] Shim Hyun-seop and Jung Young-rim, who recently marked their first wedding anniversary, continue to offer public glimpses of their sweet domestic life.
On May 18, a preview clip for TV CHOSUN’s show “Joseon’s Lovebird” featured the couple as they celebrated their first anniversary.
In the clip, Jung Young-rim playfully ribbed her husband, Shim Hyun-seop: “It’s not that your complexion got better—haven’t you always been lax about trimming your beard and nose hair? Even fixing that, people notice.”
In the studio, where Shim was once introduced as a “man who couldn’t date,” Hwang Bo-ra reacted with surprise: “He’s a different person!”
Jung even reached over to trim the stray hairs peeking from Shim’s ear, an unabashed display of affection. Jung I-rang remarked, “This should feel odd, but it looks nice. I’m jealous.”
Moved by his wife’s careful touch, Shim admitted, “I actually look forward to it now.” Jung shot back with a laugh, “Be honest. Don’t you ever think, ‘Ugh, I don’t want to do this’?”
Shim joked, “It’s the first time in 56 years someone’s trimmed my ear hair, so it felt good.” He continued, “I have a lot of earwax—I didn’t realize how much. If I lie on my side watching TV, she’ll do it.” He added, “People say I look cleaner and better. Marriage has its perks,” reflecting on how married life has changed him.
