Namyangju’s hands-on events for Children’s Day drew thousands of visitors.
The city said on May 7 that it had successfully concluded the special Children’s Day programs held May 5 at the Imagination N Playground and the Children’s Vision Center.
On May 5, the city opened four paid facilities at the Imagination N Playground free of charge and offered interactive activities, performances and events. About 3,600 people attended and enjoyed a variety of play and shows.
At five Imagination N Playground sites, children took part in balloon play and photo zones, joined upcycling workshops, and made crowns, bookmarks and Children’s Day medals.
At site No. 4, “Noljaram,” a puppet show called “The Lazy One Who Became a Cow” drew enthusiastic responses from children and family audiences.
The Children’s Vision Center staged the “Dreaming Play Experience,” featuring a child-run flea market, bubble performances, theater productions and interactive booths that energized the event.
“We organized the program so children could laugh, play freely and expand their imaginations,” a city official said. “We will continue to foster play and cultural environments that support children’s healthy, happy growth.”
