The program includes eight sessions in total — four in the first half of the year and four in the second — held at the Yongdap and Haengdang dog playgrounds. To coincide with May’s Family Month observance, the spring sessions run May 16–17 and May 23–24. Each session accepts 10 households, for a total of 40 households.
Each two-hour session pairs a walking class with dog health-massage instruction. The walking class covers basic pet etiquette, leash handling, and how to manage problem behaviors. The health-massage portion reviews canine anatomy, offers hands-on massage practice, and explains post-walk care. Combining lecture and practice is designed so owners can put what they learn into use right away.
The program is open to Seongdong residents who have completed pet registration. Registration opened April 30 and is being handled on a first-come, first-served basis via the QR code on the Seongdong District Office website or by phone. For more information, contact the district’s Welfare Policy Division at (02) 2286-5033.
