[Herald Economy=Senior Reporter Park Jong-il] Seoul’s Dongdaemun District Office — with Deputy Mayor Kim Gi-hyun serving as acting district chief — marked the 104th Children’s Day on May 2 with “2026 Colorful Kids Day,” held at the district office’s multipurpose auditorium and Future Plaza.
In the auditorium, a hybrid drawing-and-magic performance titled “Crayon That Draws!” played twice, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., drawing enthusiastic responses from children and their families. Future Plaza featured a play zone with racing, fishing and bubble activities; an “Imagine Doodle” area with a coloring wall and self-portrait stations; booths hosted by partner organizations; and food trucks.
Dongdaemun District officials said they plan to expand child-friendly programming so families can play together and create lasting memories.
