[Sports Seoul | Reporter Park Jin-up] Actress Han Da-gam announced via social media that she is pregnant and has legally changed her name, sharing the joyful news with fans.
On May 1, she posted on her SNS, “By the way, I’ve legally changed my name,” confirming that her former stage name, Han Eun-jung, has been officially replaced by Han Da-gam. She shared photos taken at a pension in Sejong City, saying, “It’s so beautiful I couldn’t not share it,” and adding that the scenery left her feeling refreshed and uplifted.
Earlier reports noted that, at 47, Han will become one of the oldest mothers in the entertainment industry, a detail that drew widespread attention. “Since my debut, I’ve never received this many congratulatory calls,” she said. “I was so surprised and moved that more people than I expected are taking an interest in and supporting me as I carry new life.”
Han said she feels especially gratified to offer hope to those trying to start a family later in life. “I received so many messages thanking me and saying they won’t give up hope after reading my story,” she said. “I want to show that careful management matters more than age. This blessing came from my own hard work and diligent care,” she emphasized.
She added that she plans to share small tips she’s learned as an older expectant mother and encouraged others facing similar struggles: “Don’t give up. Keep hope.”
Han is currently staying at Boseomga in Sejong with her parents, focusing on rest and prenatal care. Fans have flooded her with congratulations as she celebrates both a legal name change and her pregnancy.
