[Herald Muse=Reporter Kim Na-yul] Actress Song Ji-hyo carved out a day for beauty treatments.
On April 23, her YouTube channel “Song Ji-hyo” posted a video titled “(No Ads) Ji-hyo’s Beauty Day: Deciding to Start Care Today.”
In the clip, Song begins her self-care day with a visit to a massage studio.
“I want to refine the overall lines. When the contours are defined, my face looks brighter,” she told staff.
She had massages on her neck, lower back and trapezius. “It hurts, but it feels so good. The fact that it hurts even with light pressure means it’s really knotted,” she said.
Believing it’s healthy to treat herself at least one day a year, Song stopped for poke. “Poke might seem ordinary, but it feels like a meal for my body,” she said.
At the salon, she noted that a single treatment can often last through winter. “Once you get it done, you feel like you don’t need it again until winter. I want a change,” she said, opting for a layered cut.
She told her stylist she didn’t want her bangs trimmed: “I’d be so annoyed—don’t cut them,” she joked. She added, “We said we wouldn’t watch the cherry blossoms together next year, but we end up seeing them together every year.”
After finishing her treatments, Song said, “I feel great. I feel very fulfilled. I could keep this up for a couple of seasons.”
