To mark the upcoming Children’s Day, Samguk Yusa Theme Park will stage a special festival designed to bring children’s imaginations to life.
The Gunwi Cultural Tourism Foundation said the 2026 Children’s Day Grand Festival will run May 2–5 (the park will be closed on May 4). Under the slogan “Is this a dream or real life?,” the event will feature a range of performances and hands-on programs.
The festival’s centerpiece is the Il-yeon Daeseonsa Hall, which opens May 2. Newly revamped with immersive digital technologies, the exhibit space will use media art and holograms to deliver a distinctive visitor experience.
The event is organized into themed areas — ▲Performance Zone ▲Experience Zone ▲Play Zone ▲Rest Zone — with each offering activities that include military band concerts, random-play dance segments, balloon shows with DJ sets, sock-yarn four-leaf-clover workshops, giant inflatables and bubble play.
Additional attractions, such as the 4th 3964 National Children’s Drawing Contest and a “Find the Four-Leaf Clover” game, are planned as side events to heighten the festival atmosphere.
A spokesperson for the Gunwi Cultural Tourism Foundation said the festival has expanded interactive programming and added new digital content so families can participate together. “We will take every precaution in event operations and safety to help children make memories they’ll cherish,” the spokesperson added.
The festival aims to offer families a memorable experience and give children opportunities to spark their imaginations. Details are available on the Samguk Yusa Theme Park official website and its social media channels.
