YUNJAC Files Patent for New Proprietary Ingredient After Vegan Glue™ — A Clear Display of Technical Prowess

YUNJAC, the high-performance skincare label from Shinsegae International, announced on the 23rd that it has developed a proprietary ingredient called Fitting Glue™ and filed a patent for it.
In beauty terms, “prep” is the step you take before makeup to create a surface that products actually cling to. YUNJAC launched the original Base Prep in 2019. Its signature technology, Vegan Glue™, acts like a gentle adhesive, helping makeup adhere to the skin—and it’s been a key differentiator for the brand.
Now, building on Vegan Glue™, YUNJAC says it has filed a patent for an additional ingredient, Fitting Glue™, designed to maximize the uniformity of thin, even makeup application and further sharpen the brand’s functional edge.
Fitting Glue™ is a high-performance biopolymer crafted by combining protein extracted from glutinous rice with polyphenols derived from yellow tea. It creates a thin, flexible film on the skin that helps makeup settle evenly while visibly refining skin texture and smoothing pores.
Lightweight and natural-feeling, the ingredient enhances both the finish and longevity of makeup. YUNJAC also verified its combined benefits, including an uplift in sun-protection performance and improved moisture retention and skin elasticity.
Starting with the newly released Base Prep shades Pearl Eco and Silent Velvet, YUNJAC plans to introduce the ingredient into products that rely on thin, even coverage—like those aimed at refining skin texture and camouflaging surface irregularities—reinforcing its lead in the prep market.
